If there is one thing I know for sure, true healing is not created by doing just one thing. Instead, it is many, many small things, slowly over time, that make long-lasting changes for the better. That is how we heal in nature, and that is how we help ourselves heal.
When one does start to heal and feel better, we need to realize that it doesn’t happen in a direct, linear fashion. As with everything that changes inherently, it happens in cycles. Even though it may feel like progress is happening in an up-and-down process, each revolution is improving. In other words, you may have lost progress with some change, but you are still ahead of where you were when you started. You are always creating a new cycle from a better place than before. The natural change will always include improvement one does what is suitable for themselves, their body and mind and healing. The stage of a cycle someone is in holds clues to what is needed for better recovery.
